IBMM’s 9th annual Mandolin Camp! November 14-16, 2014
At the International Bluegrass Music Museum in Owensboro, Ky.

Returning for his 9th consecutive year as camp director is bluegrass music legend, Mike Compton. Known for his mastery of Monroe-style playing, Mike is a preservationist who continues teaching the music that Bill Monroe innovated and which set the standard for generations of bluegrass mandolin players to come.

Monroe-style will be taught at this year’s camp, along with jazz, newgrass and cross-picking mandolin styles.

In addition to three days of instruction, the camp offers attendees the opportunity to see old friends, meet new ones, learn from and socialize with mandolin masters young and old, and have their mandolin serviced by master luthier, Will Kimble, all within the historical context of the Bluegrass Museum.

Campers may register online at www.bluegrassmuseum.org or by calling the museum: (270)926-7891. Registration is $500 for museum members, $550 for non-members and includes three days of instruction, meals, lodging for two nights, free admission to the All-Star Faculty concert and reception Saturday night as well as a camp t-shirt.
