YMCA of Southwestern Indiana to Host First Annual Doggie Dip
Evansville, IN – The YMCA of Southwestern Indiana will host the 1st Annual Doggie Dip at the Y event on August 23rd from 11:30am – 3:00pm at the Downtown YMCA on Sixth Street. Before draining the pool for maintenance, the Doggie Dip will allow an opportunity for unleashed dogs to play and swim freely in the indoor pool.
The event will be divided into two sessions based on dog-size. Session I will be 11:30am-1:00pm for small dogs under 25 lbs. Session II will be 1:30pm-3:00pm for medium & large dogs over 25 lbs.
The event is open to both members and non-members of the YMCA. The cost for the event is $10 per dog, including one handler. Limit one dog per handler. Registration is required for all dogs. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged by Saturday, August 16th. However, day-of registration will be available as space allows.
People will not be allowed in the pool with their dogs. Proof of vaccination for Rabies is required for dogs to participate. For a full list of event rules, visit ymcaswin.org. The public can register online at ymcaswin.org or by calling the Downtown YMCA at 812-423-9622.
