Bobby Bare, Jr., to Perform at Ferdinand Folk Festival Fundraiser
Bloodshot Records recording artist Bobby Bare, Jr., will perform at the Gaslight on Huntingburg’s historic Fourth Street on Saturday, August 29, at 7:30 p.m. (eastern). Tickets for the performance will be $10 and available at the door with all net proceeds benefiting the sixth annual Ferdinand Folk Festival.
Bare, Jr., the son of Country Music Hall of Fame member and music icon Bobby Bare, has a Grammy nomination to his credit and a long string of critically-acclaimed albums with his band the Young Criminals’ Starvation League. In the 90s, he fronted the critically-acclaimed (Rolling Stone magazine hailed them as members of their “Hot List”) southern rock band Bare Jr.
His music career started when he was eight years old at his dad’s side, but, as a grownup, he’s carved out a respectable niche with music that falls somewhere between hard rock, roots rock, indie rock, and alt-country.

The event will, again, be free of charge to attend and is presented for the third consecutive year by Best Home Furnishings, as well as Kyana Woodstock, Access Storage Now, and Kimball Electronics.
